I'm running Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard on a server.
When multiple users are using RDP (Remote Desktop Connection) to connect to said server, those that connect after the first user connected (i.e. User 2, 3, 4... etc) experience a "flicker" of the desktop and their open applications close during said flicker when they try to open any application.
So, to explain as a step by step, after connecting to the server through RDP, the Server Manager application opens(The only application unaffected by flicker). Suppose I want to open task manager, so I go to the taskbar, right-click, task manager. Then the desktop of the box disappears for a moment, including the taskbar and background, while the Server Manager application stays open.
This happens for any application other than Server Manager.
On top of that, the first user logged on is also unaffected does not experience the flicker and can run programs like normal.
As far as I can tell this has happened since the beginning of the install of windows.
My first guess would be that the explorer.exe is crashing, but I can't really check the task manager to tell.
I don't have physical access to the server, only a remote connection.
Has anyone else experienced something like this?
